About the Partners
Dr. Marcelo Coelho Sekita, founder of DroneScan, has extensive experience in the agricultural sector. He graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the Centro Regional Universitário Espírito Santo do Pinhal in 2007 and continued his studies with a master's degree in Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture at the Instituto Agronômico de Campinas in 2008. In 2013, Marcelo completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, with an emphasis on Plant Physiology, at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Since founding DroneScan, Marcelo has led the company in creating technological solutions that enhance agricultural efficiency and promote sustainability in the field.
Dra. Mariana Cecília Melo has been a partner at DroneScan since April 2024 and plays a crucial role in developing new agricultural technologies and strategies. She graduated in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and furthered her knowledge with a master's degree in Agronomy (Crop Production) from UFV-CRP and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). Her academic and practical experience strengthens DroneScan's commitment to innovation and social responsibility, ensuring the company remains a leader in agricultural monitoring.
