Prof. Dr. André Backes

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2003), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2006), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2010).

Currently, he is a Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and Pattern Recognition.

He has experience in the field of Computer Science, with an emphasis on Methodology and Techniques of Computing. His main research interests include Deterministic Walks, Complexity, Fractal Dimension, Complex Networks, and Image Analysis.

Author of the books: Linguagem C: Completa e Descomplicada, Estrutura de Dados Descomplicada - em Linguagem C, and Introdução à Visão Computacional Usando MATLAB.

Creator of the YouTube channel Programação Descomplicada, with over 6 million impressions.
